Are you ready to take your strength performance to another level?

The barbell is the most effective tool to increase strength, power, and athletic performance, but it’s not quite as simple as just picking one up. Unfortunately many athletes and trainers do not maximize the effectiveness of the barbell in training and many athletes never reach their full potential due to faulty mechanics or faulty application.

In our Powerlifting Program, we will guide your training using a variation of the Westside Conjugate System to take your barbell training and athletic performance to another level. We maximize this system to get the most out of each of our athlete’s performance in their chosen sport of focus.

Our athletes are training for general fitness, powerlifting, and the Sport of CrossFit. Training sessions are run as you might expect at a team practice, and include heavy lifting, speed work, and goal specific conditioning segments.

There are 8 available training sessions each week for participants, plus additional “Open Platform” times for extra work (see schedule below). The number of athletes is capped in each session to maximize personal attention and time under the bar. When spots are open, new athletes can join with just a 12-week commitment beginning on any given Monday. New athletes, who are not already training at CrossFit Durham, are required to complete three to four 1-on-1 Barbell Foundations Sessions with a member of the Coaching Staff. Price: $150 for three 1-on-1 Barbell Foundations Sessions (for athletes new to Powerlifting). Then, $160/month thereafter. (current CFD athletes will not have to pay their monthly membership fee while attending).

Barbell Club Schedule

Download our smartphone app, MindBody Connect, to access the schedule right from your phone. If space is available, you can book workouts right up until a class begins and as far as 60 days in advance. No reservations are necessary for athletes attending Open Platform time.
